We meticulously designed the ModMed® Certification Program (MCP) to help ModMed software users gain a more comprehensive understanding of our solutions, features, and core functionalities. From interactive online courses to hands-on practice exercises and applicable real-world scenarios, each learning path provides uniquely crucial information and experience you can apply to your everyday role.
We designed the MCP to help you enhance your proficiency, hone your skills, and learn how to use our solutions more effectively and efficiently.

How can I become a ModMed Certified Professional at MOMENTUM?
Step 1: Pick your program
When you register for MOMENTUM, simply select and enroll in the certification program that’s right for you, and a member of our team will contact you with further instructions.

Step 2: Complete your courses
In the months preceding the conference, we’ll post the coursework for each certification on ModMed U, our online training platform. Follow the syllabus for your learning path, complete the coursework, and attend the virtual prep session before you arrive at MOMENTUM. We strongly recommend that you use the built-in hands-on practice activities, as well as the Sandbox environment our team will configure for you, so you can apply what you’ve learned.
Step 3: Show your stuff
At MOMENTUM, take the proctored final assessment for your learning path at the scheduled time. Score a 70% or above on your final assessment to become a ModMed Certified Professional.

I’m about to register for MOMENTUM. How can I get certified at the conference?
During the MOMENTUM registration process, you’ll have the option to enroll in the certification learning path of your choice. Closer to the conference dates, we’ll give you access to the certification courses in ModMed U. It’s recommended that you complete all associated coursework outlined in your syllabus before you arrive at MOMENTUM, as the final assessment will test your knowledge of all materials. A prep session for each certification will be held a few weeks prior to the conference, in which a ModMed team member specializing in that subject will review information you’re likely to see on the final exam. Once you’re at the conference, you’ll attend the proctored final assessment for your learning path. You must score 70% or higher on your final assessment to earn certification.
How much does it cost to earn my certification?
To enroll in the ModMed Certification Program at MOMENTUM, the price is $200 per person.
Do I need to have approval from my practice admin to enroll in the ModMed Certified Professional Program and be certified at MOMENTUM?
While we don’t require approval from your admin or manager, we encourage you to share your plan with your supervisor and team, as your learning path may involve other team members. You’ll also be required to attend the final assessment at MOMENTUM, so we recommend coordinating your schedule with your team to ensure you can attend.

You can enroll in the certification program of your choice when you register for MOMENTUM.
When are the scheduled time slots for the certification prep sessions and the final assessment session?
Prep sessions will be held virtually before the event. Our team will send you the details closer to the date.
The proctored certification final exam session will be held on Friday, October 16, from 4:30PM–6:00PM ET.
How long does it take to complete the full program? When should I start?
We recommend starting your courses and training as soon as the content becomes available — typically two months before the conference. All training materials are self-paced, so you can learn on your own schedule.
Estimated course completion times are included in each syllabus, but to help you be as prepared for the final assessment as possible, we recommend you spend time practicing what you’ve learned in the built-in Sandbox training platform for your certification program. Each course and program varies, but here are a few general estimates:
Front Office: 20 hours + practice time, as needed¹
Clinical specialties: 30 hours + practice time, as needed
Billing (previously Financials): 12 hours + practice time, as needed¹
1 A few courses in this program include hands-on activities built directly into the coursework, instead of the Sandbox platform. For any courses that do not feature built-in activities, you’ll find a link to the Sandbox on your certification program page. The Sandbox is preconfigured with the features you’ll need to complete the practice scenarios in your coursework.
