Participate in a DesignLab Session at MOMENTUM
Saturday, October 14, and Sunday, October 15
Join our User Experience (UX) team in a fun and highly collaborative session where you can directly influence the design of our products.
Once the conference app goes live, you can use it to reserve your spot in a DesignLab session. Booking your appointment is recommended as spaces are limited.
What is a DesignLab?
DesignLabs are unique sessions where you collaborate with our UX designers and your fellow MOMENTUM attendees to provide feedback on our current products and upcoming product features.
Who should participate
in a DesignLab?
Anyone who uses our EMA® or gGastro® software! Our sessions will include physicians, medical assistants, practice administrators, billers and more. Plus, we will also have a mix of ModMed® team members, including our product managers, on-staff physicians and UX designers.
What will we be doing?
Sessions are filled with sticky notes for brainstorming great ideas, hand-drawn sketches of innovative design solutions, and spirited discussions on how to make our products even better.
DesignLab Feedback Sessions
Give us your feedback! In these 30-minute, one-on-one sessions with a ModMed® designer, you’ll have the opportunity to use a prototype of a feature in the ideation phase and tell us what you think. Help us improve our concept before it gets built!

11 AM – | Updating Timeline (Urology) | Understanding patient history is important, especially when you are following patients with chronic conditions. Join us for an interactive session to uncover the easiest way to locate, navigate and utilize this data, inside our timeline, to complement the patient care you provide. |
11 AM – | New and Improved Workflows: Ordering Clinical Lab Tests (all specialties) | You gave us feedback, and we listened. We have improved the Order Tests workflow inside EMA to make it easier and more efficient to order labs. Join us for a demonstration of the new design and share your thoughts. As always, we invite and welcome your feedback. |
2 PM – | Single Screen Note Writing (all specialties) | We greatly value your input. What better way for us to continue improving our software to meet our users’ needs than to ask our users themselves? That’s why, when you requested a feature that would allow you to complete a visit note on a single screen, we did extensive market research and came up with our initial design of the single screen note writing experience from Visit Overview. Come see our design mock-ups and share your thoughts, so we can continue to improve your experience. |
2 PM – | AI Biller: Predicting Denials Made Easy (Practice Management) | Tired of dealing with claim denials and the manual effort it takes to manage them? Experience our cutting-edge AI Biller feature that leverages the power of AI models for claim management. Come see how our AI-powered virtual assistant predicts potential denials. Your valued feedback can help us hone in on new and innovative ways to save you time. |
3 PM – | ModMed gGastro: Results Output Manager | Feeling overwhelmed with manual tasks? Join us for an interactive discussion on how to automate results tasks, specifically post procedure pathology reports. Consider the time-saving potential this could have for you and your team. Let's brainstorm how to improve this process! |
3 PM – | Klara® / ModMed Integration: Patient Engagement Road Map Prioritization | Patient Portal. ModMed Kiosk. Klara. These are a few of our patient collaboration tools. Come sit down with our team, and let’s discuss how your practice could help make our Patient Experience road map the best in class. The goal is to streamline your patient engagement strategy, and we’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions for the best ways to achieve that. |
4 PM – | ModMed AI Scribe: Assisting Doctors in Visit Note Writing (all specialties) | What's the easiest way to document your patient visit notes? Have someone else do it for you, of course.
